Naming angels

Today we are learning how to name angles. I learnt that an angle is made when 2 lines meet and that if the angle is less than 90 degrees it is called an acute angle and if it is 90 but less than 180 degrees than it is called an Obtuse angle. I understood the learning and how to write in the names of the angles. The easy part was to draw the lines and figure it out on my own. The interesting part about the angles was the names and learning how to write a degree in my angle. My next step is to do the whole 360 degrees so I can master it before I go to high school. I used a protractor for my tool to help me so I can figure out the angles without a Chromebook. I would say that my learning is good but I know that I could do better than what I did.

Math eyes

Today we have been split up and one of the mahi we have to do is math eyes. Math eyes is when you look at a picture and try make math equations for the one picture. The easy part writing the  equations down. The hard part was finding the equations. Next time I will try and make more equations.

Fractions

This week I have been doing fractions. But today we made a art fractions paper. The Fractions that I did was 1 whole, 1/2,  1/4,  1/ 8,  1/16,  1/32, 1/64,  1/128,  1/256,  1/512,  1/1024, 1/ 2048,  1/4096. when we had finished we had to glue them onto our paper. The easy part was  cutting and gluing the paper onto the whole. If I was to change anything in my work I would change the pattern.

solar system

This week we have been learning about the solar system and how long it takes for the planets to orbit the sun.  The hard part was doing the math and how much times does it take to orbit the sun. The easy part was collaborating with my group and getting the mahi done. When all the mahi was done then we could do our role-play. The cool part about doing the role-play was keeping still because I was the sun.

Things we know:
1. Jupiter  is the biggest planet.
2. Neptune is the 8th planet in the solar system.
3. Pluto was in the solar system but got knocked out.
4. A way of remembering the order of the planets is by saying MY VERY  EARLY MORNING JOG STARTS UP NOW.

Worms

This week we have been working on Pangarau. We have been learning about worms. In this math game you need to draw a systematical table  to record your learning. Then you get a hundreds sheet and coulor   in 34,35,36,37,44,45,46,47,54,55,56,57,64,65,66,67 in any coulor. then you need to use 3 of the same coulored blocks and 1 different coulored block then you have to try and find different shapes for the worm but the trick is that you have to keep the head on the coulor numbers.  When you play this game you have to  add  the numbers that the worm is covering then when you  all of add them all up and the you get the total. my favourite part was working with my buddy. The hard part was trying to get as many shapes as possible. My next step is to learn more possible ways to add and takeaway.

measurement

This week we were learning about measurement.  My class and I had to make a d.l.o about it. The things we learnt were 10mm=1cm, 100cm=1m and 1,000m=1km. The easy part was measuring different objects. The hard part was prancing the words probably. The thing I will do next time is get the LI done before everything else. Here is Tuishaly and my D.L.O.

Decimals

Today we were doing decimals and for the first time I felt like I was on track. If you don't know how  to do decimals here are a few tips. If your not fluent with not using the table then you have to. Fill the table then start from right to left. If you have a number over 9 then you leave the right number in the box and then carry the left number to the left table.

here are 3 different types of tables.
Here is my finished work

youcubed close to 100 b

In room 6 we played a game called youcubed close to 100.  The first game we played was totally wrong because we cant just make random shapes we got to make squares.  Heres a slide id made 1 minute ago.

Math's

This week in math's we did some more of problem solving. This time instead of doing 2018 we did 2017 because last week we found out that it was impossible to make even number with even number's. The hard part was doing it in 2018. The easy part was trying with my buddy's and making it happen with 2017. I think next time I need to work on trying new and different way to explore.

Ow and we craked it with waekamania , steven and I

Math's

This week in math's we did this thing with tea cups/saucer. There was four different color's but sixteen to put in a 4 by 4 sheet. The hard part was understanding but after a while I got use to it. The easy part was sticking them into the table I think I had some fun trying to figure it out.

Color's:

White CUP/SAUCER
Blue CUP/SAUCER
Red CUP/SAUCER
Green CUP/SAUCER

Math's

This week we did some math. We were talking about its impossible to make 37 using 10 numbers but we found out that two odd numbers makes a even number and two even numbers makes an odd.

here is one of my equations:

3x3=9
5x5=25

9+25=34+3=37

here is a chart off number

Integers

This week we were learning to do integers. I think it was easy. If you don't know what it means, it means  the positives and negatives. If you still don't know what I mean I will show you some photos.

Over the weekend clock math

last weekend I made a Over the weekend math so I can get more better at telling the time. I think I have made more progress in the past few days.

EXAMPLE:

12: 55 is the same as 5 to 1

comment if I got it wrong

analogue

Today on the 4.12.2017  we were learning about analogue clocks. Analogue clocks are about half past,o'clocks and many. here's my slide.
