Hangi prep
Last week my class and I learnt how to prep the hangi for our kaumatua and kuia day. When we did the hangi the boys wen't to chop down some wood and us girls preped the hangi like chopped the potatoes and peel the onion. The easy part was blending the bread to make the stuffing. The hard part was to peel the onions because it made me and my friends cry. The challenging part was trying not to cut my hand, but I did. My next step will be to learn how to not cut my hand.

Cultural festival
2 weeks ago Tuishaly, Whaea Toni and I did a karanga for the cultural festival which was hosted at Kawakawa Primary school. Tuishaly and I had a different roles after karanga and that was stage hand, we only helped when the other stage hands left. My experience wasn't the best because I could have done better in my karanga because it wasn't the best of my ability. My favorite act was when Te Rau Pou Manawa o Kawakawa did the poi and the haka because they were so enthusiastic in what was happening.
