 In science we had to choose animal welfare to research about and so I chose the SPCA which is short for Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Types Of Media And What Media Is.

Media can be used in a lot of ways for example: news paper, social media, TV, radio etc. media is news or gossip about what is happening around the world. Some media can be fake and some is real fake media is usually gossip about some famous person and most news is real, the prime minister  will talk about what's gonna happen with the country, the radio people talk about what the prime minister said on the news and they keep you updated. 

Kiwi culture

For the past 10 weeks we have been learning about culture, identity and heritage in our social study's class. I learnt a lot in this class like how identity is important for us because it shows where your from and a little bit about yourself. I learnt that heritage is more than just inheriting money you can also inherit land, clothes, jewellery, devices and many more. I learnt that culture shows more than where your from, it shows that you can keep your culture strong. The most exciting part about doing kiwi culture was when we had to do a kiwi icon poster, icons like the buzzy bee, L&P, Red bands and Pavlova. I learnt to appreciate how other country's are because every country has different beliefs and how to act and what to do. 

Being Cybersmart

I strongly agree that being cyber smart is very important because if your not careful you might end up with something called a virus and this occurs by: opening unknown emails, clicking on links to something unknown or something rude will get into even more trouble. For example most spam mails have links to them that download your personal information so they can hack into your account, if your on something your not supposed to be on and your under age  and someone finds out they could report you to the principle and you could get to a lot of trouble. These are examples why you have to use your device very wisely and be careful what you go on. Also be mature online and what you share because it might be something you want to share at the time but might not want it there forever.

for the past three weeks we have been learning about 'plants and photosynthesis'. Here is the summary of what I have learnt so far.

 

ALL ABOUT ME

Kia ora my names Havahna and I go to Bay of Islands college. I have 6 siblings and 2 parents. I’m the second youngest child in my family. My favourite things to do is: travel, arts and crafts, sketching, drawing and painting. On my dads side his mum's dad was from England and his dad was from Germany. On my mum’s side her dad was from Samoa and her mum’s a Maori. I'm good at dancing and art. I enjoy relaxing and watching movies. My challenges are: getting my work done on time, maths, getting to school on time and listening. My goals for this year are: get good grades, learn my 6,7 & 8 times tables and to listen more.
